Croissant (Cwoissan)

It's Monday again, but here in Budapest, even Mondays are great days!

First to start off the day, we headed down to the good old hotel breakfast. Since no one has mentioned our breakfasts, yet, here is what they're like! Breakfast is served buffet-style. We get to choose from an assortment of meats and cheeses, croissants and other pastries, fruits such as oranges and bananas, and a few other tasty options. For drinks, we can get juices such as apple and orange, milk, coffee, tea, and water (still or sparkling because we're in Europe).

Today, just like every other day, Megan had her usual meal: two blueberry muffins and a banana.

We can also get tiny jars of preserves and honey, and small packets of Nutella.

After breakfast, we headed to the university for class. In the morning, we had a guest lecture about the refugee crisis in Hungary in 2015. It was interesting to learn about it from a Hungarian perspective as this refugee crisis was covered extensively by American news outlets.

In the afternoon, we had math class as usual. It has been getting harder as we've been learning a lot of new material. Here in room 352, we're cracking open the books for classic study sessions as we get ready for our midterm test that is already coming up on Friday (eeeek!).

Between the studying, we still managed to get some fresh air as we tried out a burger/taco restaurant for dinner.

Even though Mondays are awesome here in Budapest, one thing that hasn't changed about them is that we still look forward to the weekend. We are currently booking train tickets and a place to stay because this weekend, we, like many others on our program, are venturing to Vienna, and we are excited to say the least!!

So, stay posted to see how the rest of the week turns out as we approach the halfway point of our journey here in Budapest!!

Sincerely,
Room 352
